Trekking Grades in Nepal

Trekking in the Himalayan region, trekkers and adventure lovers should have good health and physical fitness. The trekkers should be physically fit and have strong will power.

Easy trek:

This is the easiest trek grade for trek and tour minimum 5 hours walking bellow the altitude then 3000 m.  This type of trekking is poon hill, Everest view trek, Kathmandu valley round trekking etc.

Moderate trek:

Moderate trek above 3000 m to 5000 m, these treks are 7 to 15 day. Trekker should walk up to 6 to 8 hours a day.  The trek can be tough; lot of ups and down and steep and sometime snow fall in high altitude. Trekkers should have good health physical fitness while trekking. These types of trekking are Jomsom Muktinath trek, Annapurna base camp trek.

Strenuous trek:

Strenuous trek is combined trek of strenuous and moderate walking 6 to 8 hours up to 5000 m in height altitude away from habitat this type trek are hard and the trekkers should have prefect fitness and good health condition. Trekkers suffering from asthma, high blood pleasure and cardio disease should consult the doctor. Everest base camp trek, high pass trek and kalapathar.

Very strenuous:

This type of trek and adventure are alpine and high altitude, the trekker should have good knowledge of mountaineering skill and knowledge. The elevation range from 4000 m to 6000 m approximate 7 hours walking a days, very remote areas covered with snow passes in high altitude, mountaineering equipment like ice axe crampons and other equipments are compulsory.
